Home / Guerrilla Sling 2.0 Screw Upgrade

Christmas was a busy time for us this year, especially with the release of our newest sling, the Guerrilla 2.0.  In all the chaos we made a mistake. On some of the slings that went out we accidentally used a pack of screws that were the wrong length.  The screws in question are used to hold the reel mount on, and the ones that are too short do not provide enough holding strength.

These screws were only used on a handful of slings but we have no way of tracking who got those slings, so we want to send everyone a screw upgrade kit just to be sure. So if you purchased one of the new slings and want an upgraded screw kit, please follow the link below and you will be able to add a kit to your shopping cart. Both the kit and shipping will be free. If you prefer, you can email us or call us and we will send you the kit.

We take a lot of pride in the gear that comes out of our shop. We can't be perfect every time, but we want you to know that we stand behind our products and we will do our best to make things right. Thank you for your patience with this issue.

Screw Upgrade Kit

HOW TO:

  1. Remove ONE screw from the Guerrilla sling reel mount. If the screw removed is the same length as the one provided in the kit you do not have to replace the screws. If they are different, remove the second screw from the reel mount.
  2. The drill bit provided in the kit will come premarked with paint. You can use the drill bit to gauge the depth of the screw hole by inserting the tool into the cavity. If the hole is deep enough, the drill bit sink the way down to the marked spot on the drill bit. In this case you may use the new screws with out any drilling. If you happen see bare metal under the marked line you will have to drill the hole a bit deeper.
  3. Once you are done drilling place the reel mount and screws back on the Guerrilla sling and make sure that it has a snug fit before use.

Notes: Don't worry if you drill into the band cavity of your Guerrilla Sling. It will not damage it or hinder its performance in any way.
