The Sea Stinger Roller Conversion Kit is now available! Designed for the Lightning Rod or Pelagic Polespear, this kit includes the modular roller assembly and a band with an ergonomic handle.
Use this conversion kit to modify your existing standard Sea Stinger polespear into a roller polespear.
If you currently have a power cam with the end cap and pin, you will need to remove this first. You can do so by pushing the plastic pin until it pops out of the end cap. Once the end cap and pin is removed, slide the power cam with the band off the rear section. If you do not have a power cam or end cap, simply remove the conventional band.
Next you will need to install the rubber stopper and heat shrink on the rear section. Place the grey rubber stopper 40 inches from the base of the spear. Once it is in the right location, place the heat shrink over the rubber stopper. This will be the location of the resting tab where your band attaches to. You can either use a hair drier or heat gun when completing this step. Before mindful not to apply to much heat especially when using a heat gun.
After the heat shrink is applied, you will need to install the roller body. You will slide the roller body onto the base of the rear section (where the conventional band attaches to). You will then need to line up the holes so you can insert the plastic pin. Once the roller body is secure on the rear section, you are on to the final step.
The final step is to attach the roller band. I will include a link to the final step where we installed a roller band onto a Headhunter Polespear. The step is exactly the same, just on a different type of spear.
