Bermuda Rockfish. 57 lbs.

This was a challenging fish! Brandon found it in 19 feet of water but it was WAY up inside a small cave. Such a tight fit that I had to slide the polespear in first and bend it around 90 degrees. Then on the next dive I had to remove my snorkel so my head would fit in the hole 10 feet inside the reef. After sliding into the hole for just under 2 minitues I shot the grouper and all hell broke loose. It tried to come out the same hole I was squeezed into and we got jammed together. Brandon had to grab me and the fish and rip us both out of the hole. The fish got torn in half and my nice Riffe wetsuit got shredded, but it was worth it! 57 lbs. on polespear! Small by bermuda standards, but its a start!
